No manuscript upload is added to the website. Use the separately approved private transfer method only after scope confirmation.

After payment: Jake verifies successful payment in the Stripe Dashboard and matches it to the approved lead, quote, and project before Meghan begins fulfillment.

Checkout opens on Stripe. Canceling checkout or a failed, canceled, refunded, disputed, or pending payment does not approve scope or trigger manuscript transfer or fulfillment.

    Dracor Consulting reviews the request, clarifies the service boundary, and confirms whether the project fits current availability and expertise.

  3. Receive a custom quote

    The written offer identifies the material, deliverables, price, timing, delivery method, and any included follow-up.

  4. Use the approved delivery method

    Send only the agreed files through the method specified for the project. The general Contact form does not accept manuscript uploads.

  5. The review begins

    Meghan completes the agreed beta read, proofread, critique, or focused review without silently expanding the scope.

  6. Receive the files or report

    The reviewed material and agreed report are returned through the approved method, with any included clarification handled according to the written scope.

Are revisions or follow-up questions included?

Any included clarification, follow-up, or additional pass is listed in the quote or package. Reader feedback does not automatically include a second review of a revised manuscript.

What is the difference between beta reading and proofreading?

Beta reading focuses on the reader’s experience of the story, including clarity, character response, continuity, dialogue, and pacing. Proofreading is a late-stage pass for surface-level errors such as spelling, punctuation, grammar, typos, and obvious consistency issues.

Do you provide developmental editing?

Developmental editing is not currently offered as a public Dracor Consulting service. It addresses large-scale structure, plot, character arcs, and substantial revision strategy.

Can you guarantee publication or acceptance?

No. Manuscript feedback and proofreading can support an author’s revision process, but they do not guarantee publication, representation, sales, awards, contest placement, ratings, reviews, or audience response.

Can I request a custom service?

Yes. Describe the project, approximate word count, genre, draft stage, and help you are seeking. Dracor Consulting will confirm whether the request fits current services, availability, and expertise before providing a quote.

How will my manuscript be handled?

Manuscripts are used for the agreed review and related delivery, recordkeeping, security, and dispute-resolution purposes described in the quote or service agreement. Authors retain ownership and should submit only material they have the right to share.
